You're blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You're blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That's right - you don't go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set.
You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I'd never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel. I thank you for speaking straight from your heart; I learn the pattern of your righteous ways. I'm going to do what you tell me to do; don't ever walk off and leave me. - Psalms 119:1-8

By reading this blog- it will become much more "obvious" the events of my entire life where God placed me "right here", "right now" to show the World we can all do the "difficult right thing". I have been doing it all these years with no financial incentives like others have received from their paths on the aftermath of the Yarnell Hill Fire.
Actually, God shared with me not only would I lose my 'savings' but much more...friends and so on. To rely solely on Him and He would guide me through this. And He is.
Pete Incardona (Pete the Miner) had his last breath in the early evening of Nov. 1, 2019, and I forever have his account where the Media was camped on June 30, 2013.
Pete was at last, a third generation stone artist, starting with small gem and mineral shows and later 23 years at The Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale. He mined, logged and fished in Arizona and Alaska. He made a monster truck before they were a thing, did an Arizona Outdoors segment on removing non-native carp with traps he designed in a boat he built. He worked in the shooting gallery at Legend City, helped to build the bridge at Roosevelt Lake where he later worked as a deputy doing lake search and rescue. He became a good ally of Wickenburg law enforcement and the Wickenburg Fire Department. He built a venue at Mistress Mine in Cave Creek from the ground up. Warner Brothers hired him behind the scenes and on set. He was the dog musher in Steven Segal's 'On Deadly Ground' and spent eight seasons with Ty Pennington on 'Extreme Makeover Home Edition'. He helped with building the Alaska pipeline and in mopping up the Exxon Valdez oil spill. He had art galleries in Cave Creek, Aguila, Wickenburg and Yarnell and his artwork is everywhere.
I mention all the above because the Media is fully aware that in our communities we have lost one third of our people. There is specific Media and Wickenburg folks who also know what I know about what Pete the Miner saw that June 30, 2013. Those people seem to just go on. I see them at the Prescott Wildfire Academy every year. I want the world to know I never "chose" to go to the Academy...that was God. It is the hardest path to do when I know what I know and try to get the documents to show what I know versus 'just words.'
I could write many books just on the many lives lost after the YHF. Maybe in each post I can share time to time one of those we lost.
I remember when Brent Yadon (RIP) (paraplegic) and Sonny Gilligan would share a "Chocolate Soda" (Guiness Stout) together as well as they shared the same birthday (December 10th) and their joys of guitar playing when Brent stated to me something I take to heart as Sonny had been taking off life support...right there in the same VA Hospital- hospice section Brent (57) (View where the Retardant was dropped on LIVE fire from his home) passed away on Christmas Day 2016.
I remember June 24, 2015, at 7:14 PM Brent Yadon with "attitude" and a bit of edge asked Sonny and I: “What piece of information will be the 'closure' information that you hikers would be "satisfied" with and move on?”
Sonny spoke on InvestigativeMEDIA saying: "So my closure will be when I know what actually happened that destroyed nineteen men’s lives. I ask you all on here the same question Brent asked me and Joy."
I wondered about those words as I took Sonny off life support and then he lived. Brent said "thank you Joy for taking the time out of your life to speak for those of us who cannot or will not. I use to be a full man. Healthy and whole. I had an accident. (he explained in length the details) I became a paraplegic. I draft and get on the computer. I never in my life felt like a full man until your visits, Joy. You always looked at me as if I was "okay" like I use to be. I never saw you once look at my limitations.
"When you and Sonny had that argument because he was done with the fire world and you took me up on the Weavers to where the men died up on top. I wanted to tell everyone what you did for me yet you said to me you did not want Sonny to know because he wanted to go too.
"It was a spontaneous moment.
"I want to thank you because I know my family wanted my guitar (Viktor) and Sonny bought it "fair and square" but you tried to get it back for my brother. I have always enjoyed my visits with locals but none like what you did when you came over. I felt whole. I am gonna die, I feel it and all I want is a beer and cigarette." I told Sonny about the beer and cigarette part and they both did share in that. Days before he died we visited for a good while. He grabbed my hand and said "Joy, I want you to know something. I kept stuff in about the YHF. Remember that time I gave you and Sonny an attitude. Some of it was because I had been drinking but also because I had information that would be helpful and I was afraid you would go around locally telling people." (he fully shared details from weeks before YHF to then June 30, 2013 and thereafter and even what happened during the evacuation phase with the Sheriff Posse Jeep phase)
People, it is his personal account and so many others why I stay the course. Eventually, once fully documented I will share to you all what he said. I just want to make sure the entities cannot skate out because I said it prematurely and they make it disappear.
Sonny and I began sharing about Brent Yadon in Chapter XV on InvestigativeMEDIA.
Like an Olympian carrying the torch high, I will proceed forward telling the documented facts while others carry that torch low lighting up the World and Media with lies and fires.
